“Nicole really helped me realize my dream kitchen, and it wows me every time I walk in!”—homeowner Beth Conerly.
For the kitchen and bathrooms of this new home, homeowner Beth Conerly and her husband had a very clear vision for what they wanted. “We really wanted to have a bright and airy home focused on the kitchen area…with lots of light.”
The spacious kitchen design is centered around a large kitchen island with Ultracraft base cabinets in Brocoflower—a custom color Beth specified. The “soft green reminds you we’re in the country.”
The counters are granite, which is “beautiful without being too distracting…they are just perfect!” adds Beth.
The perimeter cabinets are an off white with glass doors. “The Ultracraft cabinetry is beautiful! I couldn’t be more happier with the linen glaze because it makes it not a purely white kitchen.” Beth’s husband particularly appreciates the soft close feature, because—as he put it—Beth “bangs the cabinets a lot” when she cooks.
If you look closely, you can see the overall design includes particular attention to details, like the finishing touches. “I actually had a lot of difficulty with the hardware,” says Beth. “Nicole recommended a bar pull, and that inspired me to create matching bespoke glass pulls for the china cabinets. It all came out beautifully!” Beth had the freedom to play with her budget by working with Nicole on other areas of the project. When designing the walk-in pantry area, for example, Nicole was able to give Beth options with other lines of cabinetry. That flexibility gave Beth the freedom to adjust her budget where she needed.
In the bathrooms, Beth went with all-in-one vanities. Having decided to focus the budget on the kitchen and great room, Nicole helped source remnants for the bathrooms to stretch the budget. “It all came together beautifully,” says Beth.
“I can’t say enough good things about Nicole—I really adore her. She was really interested in understanding my vision: I had designed the kitchen a billion times in my head, and she listened to every detail, helped me execute the finishes, choose the granite. She was so easy to work with and we had a lot of fun together.”
