“Nicole was wonderful to work with! She went above and beyond to help us build this dream kitchen. I highly recommend Nicole and Viking Kitchens.”—Brittany Riley
We love it when clients bring in their personal style to their project. In this new construction project for Sunwood Development, we worked closely with homeowner Brittany Riley to realize her design vision.
For the island, we chose the Brenner door style from Homecrest Cabinetry in French Vanilla paint. The simple elegance of the style and finish is understated, and so showcases Brittany’s choice of artisan butcher block counter and reclaimed shiplap back and end caps. The combination creates a stunning centerpiece for the kitchen.
We chose a Maple Anchor stain for the perimeter cabinetry with a matching hood for the range, to echo the warmth of the custom wood flooring and match adjacent barn doors. The cabinetry skillfully hides a range of modern conveniences, like a pull-out spice rack and soft-close drawers. We designed a bump out to accent the large farmhouse sink. The counters are a soft Typhoon Bombay Marble.
The design is definitely rustic chic, and the overall feeling is unique, personal and warm.
