Kitchen Remodel with Matching Drawer Fronts

When you enter the period home of our clients in Wethersfield, CT, their love of wood surfaces is immediate. And for this kitchen remodel, they wanted to enjoy the warmth and beauty that natural wood would bring. We chose Diamond Distinctions in Cherry with a Sahara finish, and Montgomery door style with matching drawer fronts. The color and texture were just what our clients were looking for.

They were also seeking to maximize storage space, utility, and convenience within the existing floor plan.

We added a pantry next to the fridge and rollout shelves in the base cabinets. We also brought the corner cabinet down to the countertop to provide additional storage in the working area. And we added a slim buffet area on the opposing wall, with angled end cabinets, that adds useful storage without impeding access from both entrance ways into the kitchen.

The resulting design is both fresh and inviting, and warm and practical.
